It's not everyday that we get to see the Administrator of our blog. Sure we send emails, iMessages, and GPS tracks, but seeing one another in person is a real treat! The Sunday after finishing his marathon Mark S. made the trip from Richmond, VA to Beaufort, NC to see Rode Trip.
Mark S. arrived at Town Creek Marina just as we were stuffing the last of our Sam's Club purchases into various places. Not sure if we'll find everything again but I know everything is stowed away. We welcomed Mark S. aboard and gave him a grand tour. Mark S. often travels with his camper so it was fun to show him all of the ins and outs of Rode Trip and compare how we adapt to live comfortably in small spaces.
Thanks to Mark S. for helping us to return the rental car on Sunday evening. We parked the car, dropped the keys, and headed back to Beaufort where we had a tasty dinner. Mark S. brought along his bird book and we tried to identify a flock of sea birds we'd seen along the Intracoastal Waterway. The verdict was still out, but we were narrowing potentials for these white birds with long, curved beaks.

Mark S. planned to stay a few days and join the adventures of Rode Trip. What will tomorrow bring?
