The speedy Fiat got us to Pennsylvania safely and we were able to share in Bill’s and Jenny’s memorable wedding day. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Of course, we couldn’t commit to being land-lubbers the entire time. Brian broke out his old school skills on the knee-board while Jeff took us “kids” on a wild ride around Lake Wallenpaupack behind his power boat. My handsome captain drove us across the lake to the wedding location on Mike and Joan’s pontoon boat. As if all of those motor boats weren’t enough, Brian joined Bruce’s crew for the Paupack Sailing Club’s Sunday regatta.
We had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends. We spent a day visiting our grandmothers, bar-b-qued with Brian and Jennifer, explored with Michele and Alexandra, laughed with Angelica, Peter, Veronica, and Bastian, and caught up on our younger brothers’ new endeavors. Our parents were all reassured to know that we are settling into our new home and haven’t thrown each other overboard yet. I shared our adventure with our extended family at a long overdue reunion. We even admired our expert gardener’s well tended hops (Yes, we do take orders: cascade, centennial, nugget, & zeus. Shipping is not included.).
We made plans for future travels and bid everyone a heartfelt “see you later!”
